We liked the character of the hotel and its location. The bar cafe downstairs was a nice spot for drinks or an evening meal, and the staff were really friendly. Our room at the front was clean and very comfortable, but it was warm during our stay, so we left the windows open and it got a little noisy at times. For breakfast, I’d recommend either the 50s style ice cream place across the road or Thorns Coffee Lounge, a short walk away. Both do an excellent breakfast.

Kris gave us a warm welcome, and the hotel was very clean. The room had everything we needed, and the location was spot on. We'd definitely go back.

The venue cancelled through booking.com with fairly little notice and gave no reasonable explanation.
