Country Getaway - Tosson Tower Farm

The owners were both so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. Breakfast was included, with plenty to choose from and a great view. Our gorgeous room had a very comfortable bed, milk waiting for us, and a good selection of coffee and tea. My partner and I came for her birthday weekend and both fell in love with the place. The scenery around it is stunning, and the nearby villages are close enough that getting around wasn't an issue. I'd definitely stay again, 100%.

Lindsay was an absolutely delightful host, always helpful when we needed her. The farmhouse and annex were comfortably furnished, and breakfast was lovely. We had a lovely short break in a beautiful spot just outside Rothbury, with several wonderful walks nearby.

We had a superb room, spacious, warm and very comfortable, and the full English breakfast in the main farmhouse was delicious each day. It set us up well for the day. We enjoyed a fabulous three-night break at Tosson Tower Farm, where the farm's lovely scenery and views stretch across to the river. There was too much to do in and around Rothbury for us to explore much of the local countryside, and Cragside deserves a special mention. Hopefully we'll return to this stunning part of the country soon.

The room was pretty, but it was somewhat wanting. The bedding and bed linen were both very tired, and the bed was very firm. Bathroom and dressing-area fittings aren't high quality, which is a shame because that makes them harder to clean. The shower is very small, and even though I'm small, I struggled for space. We stayed as a B&B, and it definitely isn't five star. The location is excellent, with lovely views and easy access to Cragside, Alnwick, the coast and Cheviots. The owner and staff gave us a lovely welcome and were helpful during our stay. There's a lovely sitting room and an area to sit outside. A good-sized space for hanging clothes, a small fridge and a whole bottle of milk were excellent extras.
