It's a quiet spot, about a two-minute walk from town, and our host was welcoming and helpful. There are good pubs nearby, though we didn't find good restaurants.

Breakfast was the standout for us: a fantastic menu, with top-quality local ingredients cooked to perfection. The host was great too, and the place itself is beautiful, spacious and comfortable, in a perfect location. The photos don't do it justice. Full marks all round.

That crab omelette was especially tasty, and breakfast in general was magnificent, made with high-quality local ingredients. I've never stayed in a better B&B. The host was lovely and offered tea and homemade chocolates when we arrived. I hope to take another trip here soon.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the WiFi was incredibly weak and kept cutting out. That was frustrating because mobile reception in the area isn't decent either. Our room had bugs and spiders; after we mentioned them, staff got rid of some. I suppose that's down to the old house and its location. Breakfast was average.

We were struck by the stunning views, and the breakfast selection was fantastic. One of the best hotel or B&B stays we've ever had, definitely five stars.
