It's cheap and right in the town centre, so it's handy if you're going out for the night. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the shower was good. If you stay out late, sleep heavily and don't mind checking out by 10am, it may suit you. I booked a four poster bed and didn't get one, the toilet wouldn't flush, and the bathroom door either stuck open or wedged itself shut. The mattress was very lumpy. Street noise carried straight through the windows on Friday past midnight, then traffic started before 6am, and there were no blackout curtains. Had the room matched its description and the toilet worked, I'd probably have given it four stars.

The mattress was so soft it felt like a waterbed, and the sink was blocked. If I ran the water for long, foul hair came up through the plughole. After that sink business, I didn't fancy eating and didn't risk trying breakfast. At the weekend, the music and karaoke were extremely loud, louder than the TV in the room, and went on so late. A massive disappointment.

Only a four minute walk from the centre, and we paid £47 with breakfast instead of the £140 quoted by the main Premier Inn and Travelodge in the centre. Good value, and I'd stay again. The room was small but the bed was comfy. The bath was a little small for me, though deep, and the water was very hot. Breakfast was a nice little one with coffee included. There isn't a lift, and the stairs are steep.

The single room was really small, and getting to it meant climbing 54 steps. The corridors are a bit shabby, but the room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
