The breakfast cost an extra 9.50 per person and wasn’t worth what we got. Wetherspoons was 10 minutes away and better value. The mattress was lumpy and the bed base felt broken. Our room was at the top of the house and much too hot, so we had to leave the window open all night. Anyone under 6ft can fit in the shower, but won’t be able to open the skylight.

The room felt a bit dated, but it was clear that a lot of care goes into keeping it clean. It was well equipped, and reception were friendly.

I stay here for work and would happily bring my family too. It’s a great hotel for the price, close to Rugby town centre, and Dennis is friendly and helpful.

Dennis, the cheerful and helpful proprietor, greeted us on arrival and helped carry our luggage to the room. The hotel is in the centre, so the town and its amenities are within walking distance. There’s ample free, lit parking at the rear, plus a pleasant garden where you can sit and chat or have coffee. It was very quiet inside, with no noise in the hotel. The main road outside was the only downside. We were satisfied with the room standard and customer service, and we’ll be back. Thank you!

There’s no lift, so the stairs could be difficult if you’re disabled. The rooms were cleaned to a good standard every day.
