We've stayed here twice now, and in room 2 we had the separate bathroom. It was immaculate, with a fantastic shower and huge bath, and another of the comfiest beds ever. I slept SO well. The breakfast basket was amazing again. Absolutely love Aldebaran, and Colleen is a perfect host. On our first stay, the en-suite room had a gorgeous view and a super comfy bed too. The breakfast Colleen brought to the door at 8am in a little Red Riding Hood basket was a proper treat. She calls it "Continental", but it was far more than I expected: four kinds of cereal, fresh fruit, natural yoghurt, warm croissants, warm boiled eggs with salt n pepper, crumpets, white and brown toast, fruit bread, Tunnocks Tea Cakes to take away, lots of teas, instant and filter coffee, milk, fresh orange, bottled water and cheese. The selection changes each day. There was a fridge in the room, plus a kettle and toaster, so you could eat in your room in a provided bath robe if you didn't feel like getting dressed. Our bikes could be stored securely too. Whitby isn't far, there are several pubs nearby, and Sneaton Castle is just around the corner, in lovely countryside. Thank you Colleen, we had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back. Whitby never disappoints. Trenchers chippy was fantastic on Friday, and Sneaton Castle was a superb meal last night, with an amazing location, friendly staff and a very reasonable price.
