Mooredge B&B

Breakfast was quick and delicious, just what we needed, and we had a fantastic dinner around the corner at sneaton Castle too. We stayed one night at Lucy's while walking the Cleveland Way, arriving wet, muddy and with an even muddier dog. Lucy couldn't have been more helpful, even tumbling some of our wet things. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable and homey, the bathrooms were fantastic, and the shower had great pressure. Can't recommend it enough. We'll absolutely return if we're in Whitby again.

The breakfast sealed it for me. The full English uses local produce and arrived in good time. Freshly cooked food can take a little while, but I thought this was quite quick. My wife had proper porridge with a bit of honey. We'll be coming back. The couple were very welcoming, with a nice decor and spacious rooms. Tea, coffee and lovely biscuits from Bothams in the room too, though I could have eaten a whole box of those. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and fresh, and we slept really well. In the morning there was a lovely view over the fields and the faint sound of sheep. We got a warm greeting with a bit of humour, which was a nice change from places where you feel they're keen to get rid of you. You can tell they take pride in their service, and I think they really enjoy looking after guests. Five stars plus. Well done, and keep it up. We'll definitely be back sooner rather than later.

We stayed two nights in the attic room, which was clean, spacious and had fantastic views. Our hosts gave us a friendly welcome and useful tips on where to eat. Breakfast was very good, and all in all this was one of the best bed and breakfasts I've stayed at. A big thank you to our hosts. We'll be back.

Lovely accommodation, wonderful hosts, and a gorgeous breakfast. The location was perfect too. I'd highly recommend this B &B.
