The ducks come right up to the patio door looking for food, which is lovely. It's a quiet spot, very clean, and not far from Whitby centre and the harbour. You can walk down to the big bridge and take little trips to nearby villages.

The walk to The Bridge Inn at Ruswarp is shorter, and we'd definitely recommend it for the excellent food and beer. Whitby is also a pleasant half-hour walk away. We stayed at Waddleduck over Christmas with friends and our dog, and found the newly decorated cottage warm and comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, and the bedrooms were comfortable too. Mrs. Bowles had left us chocolates and a bottle of wine on arrival. Thanks, we'd happily stay again.
