The front bedroom was too noisy to sleep in, as the front door opens onto a small pavement beside the A259, with buses, HGVs and all the traffic going in and out of town. We stayed at the old forge in July, and the place felt tired and in need of redecorating. It was missing practical comforts a good owner would have provided: bathroom shelves, cushions in the lounge and complete kitchenware sets. We requested replacement bulbs, but they still hadn't been sorted during our week-long stay. Sykes cottage responded poorly to our complaints. Avoid!
