The breakfast room had a Bridgerton scene kind of feel, and fit right in with Rye. Breakfast was included, served from a menu rather than as a buffet, and there were lots of good options. The food was nice. Our room at Jeakes was cosy and clean, with thoughtful extras like tea, hot chocolate, and snacks. The staff were very kind and discreet. 10/10, we’d stay again. Thanks for running such a wonderful place.

A quick note if stairs are a problem for you, there’s no lift here. Otherwise, we loved our stay. It’s a very old Rye building, furnished beautifully in a traditional style, with lots of quaint, quirky character. The private car park nearby was really useful. Owners Chris and Doris were so welcoming. They took over in early 25 after having been guests themselves. The staff were welcoming too, and breakfast was delicious. I usually read reviews before booking in case there are problems, and although this place had great reviews, staying here exceeded my expectations. If we return to Rye, we’ll stay here again. Highly recommended, and thank you to the owners and staff for a lovely stay.

A really charming, cute place to stay, and one of the best vacations I’ve had, even in winter. The historic, beautifully furnished rooms that house the honesty bar and breakfast were a highlight, along with the quality of the food and drinks. You won’t regret staying here or visiting Rye.

Jeake’s House was impeccable, from the rooms and honesty bar to the service. Breakfast took it to another level, honestly an 11 out of 10. Don’t miss it if you stay, especially the smoked salmon. Rye felt like a sleepy town from another time, and our UK escape there was out of this world.

Lisa gave us a warm welcome, got us settled, and told us about the area and the food and drink options. Owners Doris and Chris were friendly and shared great ideas for things to see and do. All the staff helped make our weekend in Rye lovely. Our room was very nice and had everything we wanted, and borrowing an iron each evening was no trouble. The well-stocked honesty bar was a nice touch. We used it one night, and it was a pleasant place to meet and chat with other guests. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty to choose from. I had Smoked Haddock on the first morning and Eggs Royale on the second, and both were very good and filling. The breakfast team provided first-class service. The hotel and local area are great for a couple looking to unwind, wander from shop to shop, and enjoy good food and drink. Highly recommend.
