Port Isaac and the surrounding areas are fantastic, but I wouldn’t recommend staying in this cottage. It wasn’t clean, and there was a strong smell of dogs. The lounge felt damp, with paint peeling off the walls. The en-suite was a shower squeezed into a cupboard space. There were spotlights in the bedroom, but only one of the six worked.

The gate latch needed a slight adjustment, and then it worked. The cottage itself was clean, warm and cosy, and we wished we lived closer so we could visit more often. It’s beautiful, quaint and cosy. The bedroom shower is in a cupboard, which is quirky, but it was clean and powerful. Well done to the owners.

The bed, bedding and pillows were comfortable, and we still enjoyed our time in Port Isaac despite the poor accommodation. The yard was scruffy and unkempt, and the gate latch didn’t work, so it wasn’t secure for our dog. There was no hair dryer, and the TV was tiny. A ladder and broken lamps sticking out from under the bed seemed clearly unsafe. The place felt shabby, with a mouldy shower cubicle, stained curtains and damp marks on the walls and ceilings.

There were lots of beaches to enjoy in summer, which made this an amazing place.

A very sweet little cottage, but the kitchen doors were hanging off. The carpet was a bit old and smelled of dogs, which put me off eating in there.
