The indoor children's pool was as warm as a bath, which was perfect for little ones, and both the indoor and outdoor pools were really well maintained. Our chalet was clean, nicely equipped, and really nice. There are a couple of supermarkets about a ten-minute drive away for supplies, and Maccies is roughly ten minutes away too.

We were told we couldn't use the gym, even if we paid, because of the particular house we were staying in on site. Apparently guests staying off site, people camping there, and locals could all pay to use it. Those rules made no sense to us, so we drove five minutes up the road to Jett to train instead. The site looked run down and a bit sad, with dated equipment and accommodation that need investment. We were there over Christmas, when it was quiet. I can imagine it being hell on earth in summer with so many people it can accommodate. We won't be back.

They replied quickly, but wouldn't be flexible about changing dates or offer any kind of waiver or incentive to rebook. Even an emergency wasn't enough for them to waive the fees, so check you have the cover you need before booking. Based on the service and cancellation policy, I wouldn't book there again. Be cautious.

We were left with nowhere to stay at 1:00 AM, travelling with our one-year-old, after arriving to find another family already in the property. Our booking at Atlantic Resort had been confirmed through Booking.com, but it had been double-booked. There was nobody at the front office to help. The first Booking.com agent told us to wait 45 minutes for a callback, which never came. When we called again, another agent abruptly cancelled the booking and said they'd arrange somewhere else, then disconnected without helping. Other agents we contacted were no more useful. There was no accommodation nearby, and being stranded in the middle of the night after a confirmed booking was completely unacceptable. This raises serious questions for me about double bookings and who's accountable when things go wrong. I'd advise caution booking at Atlantic Resort, especially property number 55, and when relying on Booking.com reservations. The experience showed a severe lack of coordination, responsibility and customer care.
