Jean made me feel welcome and left a cake in my room. She also had useful tips about the local National Trust places I was thinking of visiting. I was after sleep, rest and peace after a busy few days, and the remote-feeling countryside was just right, with green views and narrow lanes full of pheasants. I booked through AirBnB and hadn’t realized it was the same place as Higher Chapel Farm Bed and Breakfast. There was good evening food at the Who'd Have Thought It Inn, about a mile up the road. After a great night in a really comfortable bed, I had a delicious full breakfast. I’ll definitely be back!

Jean is lovely, and Kim the dog came to visit us often. We spent the week in a wonderful pod that had everything we needed, including underfloor heating and a super-comfy bed. Fresh milk and a cream tea were waiting in the fridge when we arrived. We’d highly recommend staying here.

The host always went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had a lovely week in a beautiful, peaceful place, with loads of attractions and activities easy to reach. The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was fabulous.

We had a great week in the pod. Jean was polite, helpful, and there whenever we needed advice. Kim the farm dog made the holiday, always coming to say hello right up until bedtime. Thanks for everything.

Everything we needed was there, and it’s a great place to stay. I’d suggest coming in summer, though, since some parts of the wooden pod were a bit damp. A wood burner was the one thing missing. I reckon that would make it five stars, though I agree with the owner that some people might not know how to use one.
