We came for my husband's birthday after reading reviews, though we're not from the area. We arrived at noon on a Wednesday to a quiet pub and got a friendly welcome. The lunch menu had a good selection, although the specials board was only available in the evening, which wasn't mentioned on the board. Our 19 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with Coeliac disease and can't eat gluten. The pub was very accommodating, with food and drink options she could have, and they made her a burger without the bun. They then asked if she'd like gluten free onion rings made in gluten free batter. Such a lovely gesture, and she never felt awkward or like a bother. The food was all exceptional, including those amazing onion rings. Our youngest enjoyed the children's menu, and my husband said it was the best pie he'd ever had, with gravy full of meat. Lovely people, pub and food. It was much busier when we left, so we timed it well! A huge thank you to everyone. We'll definitely return.

A really nice hotel in a great location, with a bar and restaurant on site. The room was comfortable, though on the small side, and the bathroom was small but very clean. It was hard to do my makeup, so I'd suggest adding a light above the mirror. A few more towel hooks would help too. Just got back from a lovely stay. The food and staff were both lovely, and we'd highly recommend it. Thanks for having us, we'll definitely return.

A lovely little pub with freshly cooked food and really big portions. My seafood salad was fresh, and my husband had the home-cooked curry. Good food for a good price, no complaints from us.
