Swallows Nest

We found the bungalow clean, cared for, and welcoming, with fruit and eggs left for us when we arrived. It’s such a quiet, lovely spot. My wife and I would happily stay again.

The quiet, green surroundings and scenic views made the place feel like a lovely escape, and we’re already thinking of coming back. For a first Airbnb stay, I was very pleased. We got clear directions beforehand, and they were accurate. The accommodation was clean and had fresh fruit and eggs waiting. It felt like everything was there for a home stay, so all we needed to bring was clothes. If you’re visiting Scarborough, I’d suggest booking at the Ellis Close farm. Just pack your bags and go.

The cottages are lovely and were as described, but we won’t be coming back because of the attitude. The second room never warmed up, which was a problem with a toddler, and the response to my friendly message about the dishwasher was unpleasant. They’d also promised to call after we arrived to check everything was okay, but that never happened. That last part wasn’t a serious issue on its own, but there was no need to promise it.

We’ve stayed before and found the converted barn fabulous. It had everything we could possibly need.
