Howdale

Waking up to that sunset view is the best thing. We come back to Howdale year after year because we can’t fault the fabulous hosts or the very clean, cosy rooms. With those views, it feels like visiting family now.

Louisa made us feel welcome and went out of her way to get our breakfast just right. We even ate with another guest, the famous Dickie Bird, and got a selfie with him. My wife and I spent two nights in this lovely, spotlessly clean traditional B&B. It’s close to everything we wanted to see and do, and we were greeted by the loveliest lady, owner Louisa. We’ll definitely come back for another mini break in sunny Scarborough ☀️😊👍👍

The room was a little on the small side, but it had an ensuite with toiletries, a well-stocked tea tray, and super-comfy beds. The hotel was spotless, efficiently run, and served a fantastic breakfast. It’s in a quiet spot overlooking North Bay, with stunning views, on-site parking, and free WIFI. The location is perfect for the Open Air Theatre. Louisa was a great hostess and even contacted us before the stay to check we were happy with our room on the 4th floor, as there’s no lift. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Louisa is a great host and was happy to help with travel and ideas for things to do nearby. Our stay at Howdale Hotel was lovely. The rooms were clean and tidy, and breakfast was excellent, with the choice of a full English breakfast, fruit, or cereal. The dining room looks out to sea, with an amazing view. Just perfect.
