We could walk to town without much trouble, and the North Bay location was ideal. The owner was very friendly and let us in early when the weather turned changeable. Our room was a decent size, and they’d provided nice towels for the shower. There’s no food supplied, but downstairs guests can make hot or cold food, keep things in the fridge, and use the plates, cutlery and washing-up facilities. There’s also a table if you bring a takeaway. We’d stay again.

Our daughter was in tears when it was time to leave, and we’re keen to return too. We had a lovely long weekend at North Sand Lodge in Scarborough. It’s a clean, friendly place with a homely feel, and dogs are welcome. Marianne was especially kind and lovely. A big thank you to the owner 😊

The bed was comfortable, and the location works well for North Bay attractions. Our host made us feel very welcome. The room was small but spotlessly clean, and there’s a lounge where you can sit, eat, have a drink or watch TV. It also has a fridge and microwave.

Marianne had birthday decorations and a cake waiting in the room after I asked, which was so kind of her. My partner and I loved how cosy and comfortable it was. We felt really welcome and had a great stay.

We only needed somewhere for one night, the sort of cheap and cheerful place you might look for. North sands lodge wasn’t the cheapest option, but it had what we needed, and it turned out to be cosy and comfortable, with a friendly welcome and good value. We’d be happy to come back.
