We stayed in an apartment right by the sea, with a little park opposite that was handy for the dogs. It was a lovely place, and Scarborough is lovely too, with nice beaches and plenty to see. We don't usually travel north, so it was nice to experience it. It was very hot during our stay. Even with the windows open, it stayed warm if there was no breeze, so a fan would've been welcome.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and parking was easy. Our apartment was spacious, very clean and just right for what we needed. The location was great too. We'd definitely stay again.

We'd definitely return. The sea view from our spacious room was great, and the beds were comfy. The bar had a good selection at competitive prices, and this morning's breakfast was exceptional. Everyone on the staff we met was absolutely lovely. The pool and spa facilities were a lovely extra, and we had no complaints at all.

The service, food and view were excellent, but I was really disappointed by the pool and jacuzzi. I chose this hotel because it had both, yet the pool was freezing and murky, and the jacuzzi wasn't working. Our room was cool last night too, and it would've been nice to use the central heating. Luckily, I had brought a hot water bottle, so we used that.

This hotel has been modernised, and the rooms are spotless, with modern fittings and a newly fitted shower. It still has the feel of an older, classic hotel, though, from the cute little lift to the floorboards. The pool is amazing. We ate at local restaurants because there were too many tempting choices nearby. We'll be back. A really nice gem of a hotel in Scarborough, where some places of a similar age show their years better than others.
