Julie and John are brilliant hosts, and the place is spotless. There’s parking and a well-stocked bar too. John cooks a huge, tasty breakfast with everything on it, though we always ask for a small one. We’ve stayed at lots of B&Bs in Scarborough, and this one is easily the best. What more could you want? See you both soon, Dave and Sandra xx

Room 8 was lovely and had everything I needed. There’s a friendly bar, and breakfast was fantastic. Julie and John made me feel so welcome. I’d definitely recommend staying here and would come back. Thank you both x

Breakfast in the front lounge was outstanding, especially John’s special fried bread. The room, No.8, was immaculate, nicely done and had lots of little extras, including a Mitchell & Brown TV. Julie and John were hard-working, wonderful hosts who were obliging from the start and couldn’t do enough. I even ended up having a drink with them at their bar. The whole stay was superb value, and with so many regulars, I can see why. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

John cooked breakfast expertly, and Julie looked after us with a smile. We stayed one night at The Almar and would absolutely recommend this B&B. Our room, no.2, was clean, comfortable and had everything we might need: tea, coffee, bottled water, a good biscuit selection, ironing facilities and a hairdryer. Even the dressing mirror and plug sockets were in the right places, which matters to us. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. We’d definitely go back.

Julie and John are the nicest hosts I’ve ever met. The B&B is very comfortable, with an excellent breakfast included in the price, plus a friendly bar that’s really well stocked. The bar prices are so good they’d give Wetherspoons something to think about. ❤️
