The owner sent clear directions and good instructions for getting in, and the apartment had everything we needed for a short stay. It feels like it gets plenty of use because it's so close to the North Bay seafront, but the furnishings were clean and very comfortable. There were plenty of fresh towels and bedding, a clean kitchen with a breakfast bar, a good-sized fridge freezer and a washing machine. The bathroom was roomy, spotless and warm. I didn't need to park, so can't say how available parking was, but permits were provided for our stay. Thank you.

We managed fine for the ten days we spent in this apartment, though it was rough around the edges. It could use fresh paint and a carpet clean. The bath was pretty grotty, with black marks ingrained in the grout around the shower screen and yellow stains in the tile grout. There was no washing-up detergent, no oven trays, and the tin opener didn't work. These were minor things and could easily be fixed.

We were very happy with our stay in this lovely holiday home. It was well furnished and finished, with a brilliant North Bay view from the main bedroom. You can easily walk to both the North and South beaches, as well as the main sights like the castle and peasholm. On-street parking was a pain, as it is elsewhere in Scarborough, but we expected that. The location was perfect for visiting the area.

I stayed here with my girlfriend and children, and we all liked how clean it was. The views over North beach are wonderful, especially at low tide, and we'd definitely stay again. It was easy to get around from here. North beach is five minutes on foot, South beach takes 10-15 minutes, and peasholme park is about the same. A One stop convenience store, a café and a couple of takeaways are literally 20 seconds away, which came in very handy.

We ended up here for one night after our car broke down and the AA booked us in. Ben, the owner, and Dan, the manager, were really accommodating after the AA's mix-up. The place is beautifully kept and a real find. For a family our size, two rooms at a chain hotel would have cost more and given us much less. One small, slightly funny tip: bring your own toilet roll. We ran out at midnight and had no car to go and get any.
