The Whiteley

We felt very welcome at check-in, and the window had a beautiful view. The breakfast room was cozy with an ocean view. The location isn’t right in central Scarborough, but you can get around fairly quickly on foot. Our room was very small, to the point where we couldn’t really move around at the same time without getting in each other’s way. The bed squeaked when we lay down or moved, and there were around five or six medium-sized spiders on the ceiling. It also took a while for the shower water to get warm enough, though the water pressure was great. The room was very clean and stocked with more than enough tea, instant coffee, milk, and biscuits. We stayed two nights and had a good time.

The sea view from the dining room was lovely, and although I skipped breakfast, it smelled gorgeous. My room was clean and lovely, and I was welcomed warmly. It was sweltering, so the desk fan and two bottles of water were a thoughtful touch. I’d also forgotten my phone charger and was able to borrow one. I stayed overnight and would happily recommend the place. I’ll book again.

The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the room was clean and comfortable. The coast views are stunning too. A 10/10 from me 👍🏻

We’ll definitely be back. Alison greeted us and was lovely, chatty, and helpful. The B&B was clean, the room smelled fresh, and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was gorgeous, especially the good quality sausage and bacon, not cheap supermarket stuff. There were other choices if you didn’t fancy a full English. It was our first stay at the whiteley, but it won’t be our last!
