We booked a last-minute stay at The Headlands over the late May Bank Holiday weekend with our two teenage kids, and had a brilliant time. Steve and Karen were great hosts and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The kids especially enjoyed the board games, puzzles and a bit of retro Wii gaming. The rooms and cooked breakfast were great, and the bar area was lovely for the evening. Highly recommend.

Breakfast offered plenty of choice and generous portions, and we could see the sea from our windows. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with a warm welcome when we arrived. Karen and Steve were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They both came out to see us before we left. We had a fabulous two-day stay and would recommend The Headlands to anyone.

We’re already looking forward to coming back to Headlands. This was our third visit and, once again, we had a wonderful time. Steve and Karen make you feel like friends or family, with a warm welcome and great company, and they couldn’t do more for their guests. The rooms are lovely, tastefully decorated and spotless. We travel a lot, and honestly, this was the best breakfast we’ve had. We thoroughly recommend the hotel. Thanks so much, Steve and Karen.

From our room we could see the sea and the castle, and on a short walk towards the south bay by the castle headland, we spotted a pod of 30 dolphins heading north, so close. It made the stay feel magical. The Headlands Hotel is perfectly placed for North Bay attractions. The ensuite rooms were freshly decorated and spotless, with comfortable beds. Steve and Karen were fabulous hosts, fun and friendly, and always happy to help. Breakfast was magnificent, with perfect eggs and locally sourced ingredients. We’ll be back soon.

The staff were great with the kids, and I had no trouble getting a gluten-free breakfast. There’s also a good-sized bar in the hotel, which was a big bonus. The well-appointed rooms were spotlessly clean, and breakfast was excellent. It’s family friendly and very well placed, close to both the North Bay and the Open Air Theatre. Would absolutely recommend.
