The Ellenby

Breakfast was plentiful and top quality, and the views across Scarborough’s north bay are great. You can use the binoculars in the guest lounge and bedrooms to take them in. We stayed last weekend and Paula and Tony were fantastic hosts. The hotel’s in a great location, close to all amenities. We’ll definitely return and recommend it. Thanks again, Paula and Tony 😄

Breakfast was delicious, and our room was lovely and very clean. There were nice little touches throughout the house too. Tony and Paula were so welcoming and happy to help with anything. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the lovely scenery and location, with a short walk to all the amenities. The other guests were friendly, and we had good food at the Albert and George Michaels. We’d definitely visit again. Paula & Tony gave us a friendly welcome at the door. The hotel was very clean, the lounge comfortable, and our room had a lovely garden view, a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, and beautiful homemade cookies. The bathroom and shower room were nice too. Breakfast was lovely, and the coffee was beautiful. Thank you, Paula & Tony, and all the best.

The little extras made Hotel Ellenby feel like a home from home. There’s a well-kept garden, memorabilia about Scarborough and the hotel’s history, and Tony’s wonderful local photography playing as a slideshow on the large TV. A telescope and binoculars let you take a closer look at the amazing views. The hygiene standards also gave us real confidence. My wife and I stayed three nights in room 3 on the first floor, with a fantastic panoramic view over North Bay. Paula and Tony gave us a lovely welcome. The spotless room had everything we could need and a very comfortable bed. The communal lounge and dining room were stylish and comfortable, and breakfast was superb. You can tell Paula and Tony work hard to give guests a great experience. Service, cleanliness, comfort, enjoyment, and value were all excellent. Five well-deserved stars!
