There’s nothing to do on the site itself, which suited us fine since we could come and go as we pleased. The caravan was very good accommodation, and it’s a handy base for visiting Devon. The coin-operated electric meter was the drawback, as it was very expensive, though the free gas helped make up for it. I’d use it again.

A lovely, peaceful spot that doesn’t cost much, run by a family who gave excellent service. It’s clean and well kept, with a short walk carrying your things from the car park. There’s a huge Tesco and Aldi close by. Seaton itself is a lovely little seaside town, with an easy walk to shops, pubs, restaurants and a nice beach. We’ll be back.

Axe Vale suited us perfectly as a simple place to rest while exploring Seaton and nearby areas. The caravan was tidy and clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and there are lovely walks nearby. We also appreciated the little Axe Vale tote bag with useful bits in case you’d forgotten them, like a sponge, cloth, tea towel, toilet roll, bin liner, notepad and pen. The small play area, sandpit and paddling pool were enough for us, and there’s a handy little shop on site with plenty of parking.

We’ve been to Axevale many times and keep coming back because we love the area. The grounds are very well looked after, and there’s plenty to do and visit nearby. The caravans are always spotless. We know what to expect and bring our own bedding, though the brochure does explain everything you need to know. Some vans sit quite close to the road and can be noisy, and the kitchen might benefit from a few more things, but neither bothers us. Prices are very reasonable, so it’s a great place to stay.

It’s a short walk into town, and there are bus stops close by. We’ve found the vans clean and well equipped each time we’ve stayed. The site has very few facilities, which suits us because we’re not interested in bingo or screaming kids. We enjoy the quiet and the location, and would like to visit again.
