We were there for a bike race and had to leave early, so we can’t comment on the usual breakfast. Holly made us a breakfast bag to take along, though, and it was packed with food that got us through the ride. She and the man behind the bar that evening, whose name I didn’t catch, were both lovely and did everything they could, even while rushed off their feet. The room was spotless and well equipped, the drinks and food selection was great, and they had bike storage too. We’d definitely stay again.

We’ve just had Christmas lunch here, and it was lovely again. Whenever we eat here, the food is 5* and the staff are so friendly, making each visit feel personal. I can’t recommend it enough.

The setting is beautiful, unspoilt nature that feels like a blissful place for the soul. We only came for dinner, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The food was delicious, especially the truffled wild mushrooms I had as a starter, probably the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. I was too full from that big starter to manage the main, but I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area.

The beds were comfy, the atmosphere cosy and the food lovely. More than anything, the staff made us feel like friends from the moment we arrived. A fantastic place to stay, and I’d highly recommend it.

A nice spot for lunch. The spiced parsnip soup was really tasty, and the cappuccino was huge.
