We had a peaceful, relaxing three-day stay at Gutchpool, in a lovely location with great hosts. The shared room felt especially cozy, with a roaring fire in the morning and evening. Rachel also cooked a delicious breakfast every day.

The place felt peaceful and encouraged the kind of good conversation that’s precious these days. I especially enjoyed the absence of television, the sofas beside the fireplace, and Rachel’s delicious breakfasts. The interior was tastefully done and had a relaxing, homely feel. Even the drive in, along the gravel path past neatly managed trees, hinted that this would be a different sort of stay. It was an honour to spend time in such a beautiful place with wonderful hosts. A rejuvenating, inspiring weekend.

Rachel is a gracious, knowledgeable host, and breakfast was amazing. It’s an idyllic farmhouse with comfortable rooms, close to plenty of sights. I’d thoroughly recommend it for a few nights of country charm.

A perfect country getaway. The accommodation was super comfortable, and Rachel was a lovely, helpful host. There are also some very high-quality pub restaurants in the area.
