Foxhills of Shanklin

A lovely place to unwind after a day exploring, with good hosts, nice gardens, and food and drinks to enjoy while swapping stories with the other guests and hosts. It’s well kept and carefully maintained, and someone is always on hand to help. A great base for exploring further afield. Highly recommended 😊👍🏻🙏🏻

This was our second year at Foxhills, and it won’t be the last. Joanne & Andrew welcomed us into their beautiful, tastefully decorated home as soon as we arrived. We were there for the IoW festival again, and the bus service is brilliant for getting to and from the festival as well as around the rest of the island. Breakfast deserves five stars, with traditional, delicious choices and local produce that really set us up for the day. My husband loved the full English, while I had avocado toast with poached eggs, gorgeous fruit sundaes, natural yogurt and fluffy omelette, among other treats. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, each decorated in its own style with lots of pretty touches. There’s also a gorgeous garden outside with plenty of seating to relax in. A lovely stay with lovely people. Thank you.

My husband and I have just come back from a delightful three-night stay at Foxhills of Shanklin. Joanne & Andrew were lovely hosts and did everything they could to make us comfortable and happy. Nothing was too much trouble. The guest house was clean and well looked after, and the bed was comfortable. We both slept really well. Breakfast each morning had plenty to choose from. The full English and mushroom omelette were delicious, and made a great start before heading out to explore the island. It’s a gentle 15-minute walk to Shanklin Old Town. We’d love to stay again next time we’re over on the IOW.

Breakfast was fresh and cooked to order, with plenty of choices, and the hosts made us feel at home from the start. Judith, Joanne, Rob and Andrew were fantastic and did so much to make our stay feel special. Our room was clean and tidy, even though we knew when booking that it hadn’t been updated yet. We’d read that the shower lacked pressure, but it had been replaced two weeks before our visit and worked great. The location is just outside Shanklin, an easy short walk from the town centre. We had a fantastic stay and would come back on our next island visit.
