After a long day on the coast to coast, a good breakfast was just what we needed for the next stretch. The staff were really friendly, the food was hearty, and the rooms had comfortable beds and a nice hot shower. They also rent out boot dryers for £5, which made the following day much better. Great stop along the walk.

We had a big group booking for Sunday lunch and it was no problem at all. Friendly welcome and service, and the lunch was fantastic 😋

We ended up here this evening after the pub we planned to visit was shut, and another place turned us away because they were short staffed. They were fine with us bringing our greyhound into the dining area, and everyone was polite and welcoming. The young lad at the bar was especially nice to talk to, with manners you don't come across often these days. Best meal we've had in the area during our stay. Thanks for a really pleasant evening, I'd recommend it.

The room was pretty basic, and the bed wasn't very comfortable. The shower floor was dangerously slippery, I nearly fell. We didn't enjoy the evening meal much either: my wife had the vegan burger and said it wasn't very nice. Breakfast cost extra, and the price felt high for what we got.

The food was fine, nothing special, but the service was excellent. There were lots of locals in the bar, and the language was disgusting, including from the women. Some people from other parts of Europe were eating there too, and I wondered what they must have thought.
