We had a great week at Bullace Barn and would happily come back. Marshall and Jayne were welcoming hosts, always available with help or suggestions for places to visit. The area is lovely too. There was plenty to do outside, with a big garden for football, badminton, cricket and a BBQ or fire pit. We especially loved the little private island in the river, where we could paddle, splash about and catch crayfish. We even spent a night there by a fire, listening to the river. Inside, the accommodation was spacious, spotless and had everything we wanted, including a pool table. A lovely holiday let.

Jayne made us feel very welcome. The grounds are peaceful and lovely, and Bullace Barn itself was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed. I’d happily recommend staying here.

We’ve just come back from our second stay at Bullace. The weather was pants, but it didn’t matter with accommodation this good. There’s a pool table, a big TV and plenty of spots to relax, whatever the weather. It’s well located and easy to drive to, too. The place is clean, well equipped and cosy in colder weather. Those huge radiators warm it up quickly. The owners are friendly, and guests can use the large garden and little island. It’s really dog friendly, with crates, a dog towel, treats and even a stake for tethering our high drive dog, who’s very good at scooting over walls. The garden’s fully enclosed and safe for ordinary dogs. If yours can smell pheasants a quarter mile away, though, you’ll need the tether! There’s no dog smell at all, and the welcome pack for people is fab.

Everything we needed was provided. The nearby walks are good and there’s a friendly pub close by. The place is modern and clean, spacious but still cosy.

“Our three couples were all happy with our bedrooms, and the kitchen was wonderful. It had everything we needed, loads of storage and fridge freezer space, and a great big table for the home cooked dinners we made every night. We really appreciated the luxurious welcome basket. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely book again and recommend it to people we know.” ShivOG, Leeds, United Kingdom, August 2014 “Flawless!” Tripadvisor Rating 5*
