Three Cranes Serviced Apartments

We loved staying at the Three Cranes and hope to visit again 😍🤩. We’d been moved there after our original booking was simply horrible, and this place didn’t disappoint. Our two floor apartment, Room 14, was tastefully done up to a good standard. It looked lovely, was comfortable, and had enough room for my wife and me to work separately in different parts. Getting in was easy, and the location was great, about ten minutes on foot from everywhere 🥰. The only things that let the unit down were a few small details. There wasn’t a full cutlery set, so we had no forks or teaspoons for eating or making tea. It wasn’t a huge issue since we were out most nights, but it would be useful to eat in. One set of lounge lights was hard to operate, possibly because they were LED downlights on a dimmer switch. There was no microwave. I’m not sure one was advertised, but it’s good to know in case you’re expecting one. The stairs get quite tight and irregular higher up, so they could be challenging for people with mobility issues. I’d suggest requesting a ground floor apartment.

We found this place pretty awesome while staying in Sheffield. The street was quiet but well located, and the room was clean with more than everything we needed 👍🏻. The bed was comfy and the bathroom clean. I’d definitely stay again. Thank you, Sheffield, with love from Doncaster 👋🏻🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

We couldn’t use the shower during our stay because it was leaking badly, not just dripping. We sent the company images and videos as evidence, told the property, and followed up three times. Nobody replied, even though they read the message on booking.com and chose not to respond. Appalling customer service, and I wouldn’t recommend it. We’d specifically booked because the property was advertised on booking.com as having electric car charging and parking. We have a screenshot of that listing. It wasn’t true: when we asked how to get into the included parking garage, they sent us details for the NCP Carpark instead. It’s five minutes from the property and cost an extra £16 per day. We included that in our message and still got no reply. The apartments are badly designed and maintained. All the windows are frosted, so the place feels dim, dark, and prison-like. I’ve used booking.com for travel and accommodation for many years, and this is the first bad review I’ve ever left.

The location was fab, and the deposit was returned promptly, but I was totally dissatisfied with the apartment’s cleanliness. We arrived at 1 40pm and the cleaner hadn’t started the room. We got in at about 2 10pm. The mirrors and shower screen were smeared with polish, the pots were dirty, and the kettle still had stale water in it. After coming back from our evening out, we found heavily stained bedding, including the quilt cover and sheets. They clearly hadn’t been changed, which was very unhygienic. It made us cringe, but it was too late to call the owners. I was glad we had socks and pyjamas on. There was no bar or food to buy as stated. The ground floor toilets weren’t available while we waited for our room because the cleaners didn’t have a key. I’d always wanted to stay at Three Cranes, but I had high hopes and was extremely disappointed.
