That Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, with tasty vegetables, flavoursome potatoes and plenty of meat. I was especially pleased that cauliflower cheese came with it as standard, and £13.95 is an extremely reasonable price. We finished with sticky toffee pudding, which tasted as good as it looked. Very glad we came, and we’ll definitely be back!

We came up from S Devon for a wedding anniversary weekend. The owners and staff were lovely, the food was cooked to order and good, and our ensuite room was fine. The bedroom and dining area could use some minor decoration improvements. It’s superb value for money, and long may pubs like this succeed. There’s free on-street parking behind the pub, and it’s dog friendly. Recommended as budget accommodation. Thank you all.

This is a lovely little inn for a stopover, and I’d definitely stay again. It’s very dog friendly, the staff are great, and the room was comfortable. The bathroom was large with a lovely shower. We had a good full English breakfast, and dinner was lovely too. The woman who runs the place works extremely hard, checking us in, tending the bar and cleaning the rooms. Her partner was the chef.

We’ve stayed here several times since October 2024. It’s a really lovely old style pub with great management and staff, and they made us feel very welcome with our 1 year old springer spaniel. The food is AMAZING!!!
