Dinner was a highlight of our lovely one-night stay. We chose the tasting menu, and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was attentive, if a little slow at moments, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a wonderfully cosy bed. The bathroom was a surprise, almost as big as the bedroom, with a bathtub and a separate walk-in shower. The one drawback was the shower tiles, which were quite dirty and need a proper scrub. We’d happily stay again.

We’re only a 10-minute walk away, so it’s nice to support somewhere local. Our Sunday afternoon late lunch was the perfect birthday treat for two. There was a good choice of starters and mains, and everything was cooked and presented beautifully. We’ll be back!

The tasting menu was incredible value and every dish blew us away. The room is opulent, and the whole team made it a really special experience. Paul was especially charming, with a charismatic way of talking to guests and a real knowledge of the food and wine. Head Chef Leo Kattou also came over to explain the dishes, which was a privilege. The candles, flowers and lovely plants at the table deserve eleventy out of ten too. I’m already looking forward to returning after a little break, and have my eye on the set lunch menu. Thanks to everyone front and back of house.

The chocolate and cherry torte was just the right finish to a brilliant Sunday lunch. The beef, cooked sous vide, was buttery soft, and the sides were faultless. Cocktails were delicious, too, and the service was cheerfully efficient. One of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had.

We had a fabulous evening for our Christmas party of eight. Everything went smoothly, from booking and picking our menu choices to the night itself. The food and wine were delicious, and the service was attentive. Highly recommend, and thank you.
