Breakfast was fantastic on both mornings, and it rounded off a really comfortable stay. Andrew and Bridget were lovely hosts. The old building has loads of history and antiques, and our room was a great fit for two nights near Shouldham. It was called a small double, but felt pretty spacious, with a huge antique-style four-poster bed. Fast WiFi, a TV, tea and coffee, and an en-suite shower room too. Just perfect.

My wife and I clearly have different tastes: I loved the quirky decor, while she prefers a pared-back Scandi style. She still appreciated the place, though it wouldn't be her choice to live with. The B&B is in the old village school, and the rooms carry on the house's mix of beautiful old furniture, ornaments, paintings and prints. Our room had an amazing four-poster bed and was very comfortable. We stayed one night and had a wonderful breakfast in the large conservatory. Bridget and Andrew have put it all together brilliantly, and there's an antique shop in the grounds run by Bridget. Oh wow. Chalk and cheese, as they say.

The breakfast alone deserves those five-star reviews. Andrew and Bridget gave us a warm welcome, and we had a comfortable room. Chalk and Cheese is a real gem of a B&B. We'll be back. David and Anne.

Breakfast was simply outstanding, truly exceptional. We stayed in one of the rooms in the beautiful, eclectic home, with a great bathroom that had both a shower and a separate bath. The venue has a lovely quirky feel, and the hosts were lovely. I also had a private browse around the antique shop and came away with a special chess set.
