Riverside Shrewsbury by Chef and Brewer Collection

The food was all really lovely and tasty, and the location is nice. But the customer service was poor and the attitude made the meal frustrating. We booked an outdoor family meal for 13.08. My parents arrived first, then my partner and I got there ten minutes later. When my partner asked how to order, the response was, “Like I told your parents, on the app or at the bar.” My parents are in their 70s and may not be familiar with ordering online, so it came across as rude. We used the app and waited 40 minutes for the mains, which was fine on a nice evening. Two meals arrived without cutlery, and mine was cold. I didn’t complain after waiting so long. When we asked for condiments and extra gravy, we were told they were “over there,” though it might have helped to be told earlier. The other two mains came five minutes later. The waitress then made a point of our asking for “extra gravy” with a bad attitude and pointed at the condiments. When we asked for table water, she huffed and said we could have got it from the bar. I understand they were busy and seemed to have very few staff, but customers shouldn’t have to deal with poor service because of that. Don’t take so many bookings if you can’t provide good customer service.
