The Homestar

I booked this at the last minute on a budget, after reading awful reviews of other places at similar prices. I took a chance on this B&B and was really glad I did. It’s such good value, and I’ll stay again next time I’m in the area. The decor is a bit dated, but I found the place cosy and clean, and the owner was friendly and went out of his way to help. A classic B&B that’s hard to find these days.

We slept really well, the beds were very comfortable and the place was clean with everything we needed. Our family room was huge, with a double bed and a single in one room, plus another single and a TV in the second room. There was also a big TV in the first room. The location was perfect, and the host was kind, helpful and easy to approach. We stayed one night.

The owner welcomed us and helped with our bag, then showed us how everything in the room worked. It was clean, with a comfortable bed, plenty of storage, a good TV, kettle and clean bathroom. The town is quiet around here, yet the main street and seafront are only about five minutes away. We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to friends. We’ll be back, thank you.

We rang on the day and they managed to fit us in at a decent price. The staff were polite and showed us to our room, and the location worked well, about a ten-minute walk toward the Aquarium with easy access around the area. We had a lovely two-night stay and would come back for another little getaway. Thank you.
