The breakfast was cold and bland, with very few choices, and the price didn’t feel justified. There aren’t any charging sockets by the bed either, just at the desk, which is inconvenient. Parking also costs extra unless you book directly, even though third-party rates are usually cheaper. Joining as a member didn’t seem to improve the room or service in any noticeable way. I’ve been staying here for work for more than three months, but this experience has me thinking about switching hotels. For a four-star place, it feels very dated. Some reception staff are lovely and helpful, while others aren’t. For a week, my room wasn’t cleaned properly. They remade the bed despite the pillows and bedding still being clearly dirty, and didn’t vacuum. Reception said I needed to put the room-cleaning tag outside the door, but nobody had explained that during my stays. At other hotels I’ve stayed in, rooms are normally cleaned daily unless you ask otherwise, and I’d expect the cleaners to check whether a guest is still staying. I’m very disappointed and will look for somewhere else going forward.

The in-house Indian restaurant was the best part of my stays. Its “Flavours of Thailand” menu was tasty and full of flavour, though the regular menu was more ordinary. The steak and chips I had were fine, nothing special. I’ve been here twice lately for work, and the staff were friendly, attentive and professional on both visits. The rooms were comfortable enough, but the hotel is looking tired and could use some updates. After a long day, it took me a few tries to get the shower working. The dated car park also seemed expensive for the state of the place. I left my room card out for Do Not Disturb, but came back to find the room had been fully cleaned and turned over. I didn’t mind much, though I hadn’t expected it. Breakfast was average, with the nice option of ordering freshly poached eggs instead of relying only on the buffet. The bar is pricey, and the views are pretty standard. The staff do a great job, but the hotel feels tired and expensive. With some investment, it could be much better.

We had a pleasant weekend and would stay again. On arrival, our Club room was upgraded to a Suite, and we were even able to check in early. The man at the desk, I think his name was 'Ahmed', was friendly, polite and helpful, and explained everything we needed to know. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the facilities were good. There were lots of breakfast options too. My only suggestion would be to leave a couple of bottles of water in the Club and Suite rooms. Thanks to Ahmed and the team!

Ahmed at the check-out counter made a real impression on us. We’d already checked out and had nowhere to pray, but he arranged a room for us to use. Simky at reception was also incredibly kind and friendly, and check-out was pleasant. The hotel staff were thoughtful, welcoming and considerate throughout. We arrived very early after a long journey, tired and urgently needing the toilet. The gentleman at reception kindly let us check in ahead of time, which was a relief. The stay was comfortable. I was disappointed that pancakes are no longer served at breakfast, and the shower could be better, especially the tap-to-shower switch, which could work more smoothly. A good stay with lovely staff, and a few improvements would make it even better.

The restaurant meal we had on Thursday was nice, and the hotel was very conveniently placed for the wedding we came for. We were also able to visit Cliveden and Windsor on the way home. We stayed three nights. The staff were very helpful and the customer service was great, though the rooms could have been cleaner. The bathroom could use some attention and updating. We asked for herbal tea and decaf, but neither was available.
