West Central Apartment

Living on the sixth floor with a baby made the broken lifts a real problem. We sometimes waited ages for repairs, even after calling the apartments every day, and I couldn't carry the pram and baby down the stairs to get his food. Our flat is nice, with the station, shops and a big Tesco nearby, but being at the front means constant noise from cars, lorries and drunk people. Construction has also been going on nonstop for four months, so we have to keep the windows shut.

I stayed there in summer 2018, and the owner's ongoing care really stood out to me. The place was clean, nice and secure, close to the high street and bus station. It's one of the better apartments for a family looking for somewhere decent to stay.

I've lived here for three years. It was really nice at first, but then the building filled up with South Indians. Some people leave their rubbish on the floor instead of putting it in the bins. If you don't respect where you live, why live here? In England, we're taught from a young age to do it ourselves. We don't have servants to put our rubbish in the bin.

The station is nearby, but the lift never works.
