A brilliant little budget hotel. It may not be especially pretty, but the rooms have what you need: a comfy bed, good sheets and towels, and an excellent, powerful shower. There’s lots of parking and plenty to do nearby, including good pubs and restaurants. All the staff are lovely, especially Joy, the manager on reception. Highly recommend.

We come about six times a year and have been doing that for around four years. The staff have always been excellent and polite, and we’ve never had a problem. Having a pub next door is handy for food, there are lots of shops nearby, and the hotel has its own car park. What more could you want? We love staying here.

The pub next door serves lovely food at very good prices, and its staff were just as nice. At the hotel, every staff member we met was incredibly friendly and made my partner and me feel comfortable and well looked after. Our room was spacious, quiet and really nice, with a SO comfortable bed. It worked perfectly for our nearby convention. We had an amazing time and can’t recommend it enough. We’ll definitely stay again!

My relative booked a room advertised with a double bed and a single bed, but the three adults weren’t allowed to sleep there. They had to book another room on the day for almost £60 a night. That booking felt like a scam. Hotel owners shouldn’t list a room with a double and single bed for three adults if three adults aren’t permitted. I’d call that false advertising.

The area felt rough, so I worried about my vehicle, and there were dogs barking in the hotel. The rooms need freshening up too: the carpets are grim, and the TV is old and tiny. It was a bit rough overall.
