The staff made the biggest difference during my two-week stay at Premier Inn Solihull Town Centre. Everyone was welcoming, professional and ready to help with questions or requests. They greeted me with a smile and made me feel valued throughout the longer visit. My room stayed clean, tidy and well maintained, and housekeeping did a great job. Everything I needed was there, and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well every night. The hotel is also conveniently close to shops and local amenities. Staying for that long can get tiring, but this place kept it comfortable and stress-free. I was very happy and would gladly stay again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

It's a good base for the NEC and local Solihull and Birmingham events, but the restaurant was a horrendous experience. There are lots of delicious, highly rated restaurants and bars just a stone's throw away, so eat elsewhere, literally anywhere else. We waited 20-25 minutes before asking for menus, got warm beer, and were spoken to as if we were a nuisance. The food was lukewarm and seemed microwaved. After it was sent back, we waited 10-plus minutes, then they brought us the wrong food. I hate complaining publicly, but other travellers should know. Save yourself the hassle and possible risk of food poisoning, and learn from our mistake.

The staff are all brilliant, parking is nearby and cheap, and the rooms are great with a powerful shower. Breakfast was okay, and I was glad to get poached eggs. Evening meals, though, were very poor. Maybe there was only one chef, but the food was just bad. The kitchen lets the place down. I'd stay again on a bed and breakfast basis, but not with the meal deal. There are plenty of amazing places to eat nearby, and the train station is very close for the 15-minute trip into Birmingham centre. Sorry, team.

We booked two rooms at £142 each. The location is close to NEC, but it felt overpriced compared with other Premier Inns and the inside was quite tired. The service overall didn't impress me, and it was a very average stay. At breakfast they ran out of eggs. I don't know why someone couldn't buy some from the Tesco two minutes away. I suggested it, but was told nobody was allowed to leave. Breakfast was okay otherwise. Plymouth's branch is much better quality. What is an English breakfast without eggs?

We had a really good stay, thanks so much. The location was handy for Solihull Shopping Centres, and we enjoyed dinner in the evening with excellent food and service. Our room was cosy and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful overnight and the next morning. 😁
