The narrow lanes made the drive in a bit daunting, though taking it slowly was fine. We nearly missed the entrance too, as the sign is small. Once there, we got a lovely welcome from the two well-trained house dogs. It's a farmhouse with three B&B rooms, close to an excellent pub for dinner. Great place and hosts, and it's on our list to revisit.

The thatched house and gardens are a lovely setting for a weekend in Devon. Glebe Farm goes back to the 15th century, and Tim and Sheila made us feel welcome with their friendly, informative approach.

We booked through Airbnb and had such a brilliant stay. Friends were in the beautifully renovated barn while we stayed in the Shepherd’s hut. Fresh eggs, curious chickens and two friendly dogs were part of the warm welcome. Tim and Sheila also suggested places to visit, beaches and pubs, and even lent us wine glasses for sunset cove. Can't thank them enough for having us.

The room was spotless and really comfortable, with lovely design and a view over the chickens and lambs. There’s a lively village pub with delicious food, and plenty of good walks nearby. We came from London for a long weekend and left feeling completely recharged. Tim and Sheila were the kindest, most interesting hosts, and made an already lovely break feel special.

We came for a few nights with our two kids and stayed in The Shippen, the self-catering cottage. The grounds were lovely, with chickens wandering about, and the tidal creek is just a short walk away. It’s peaceful and rural, but there’s a fantastic village pub and shops only a short drive away. The beaches were a highlight, still quiet even during half term. Tim and Shelia were wonderful hosts, and we'd definitely return.
