Baytrees Hotel

The room was clean and nice, breakfast was lovely, and there’s free parking on site. It’s dog friendly too. The staff were brilliant, so helpful and friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely book again.

This was my third visit, and I came home very disappointed. The place has become shabby and run down. The bathroom was dirty and old, with someone else’s hairs, and the drain smell was awful. The bedding smelled of other people’s sweat. It’s advertised as including free breakfast, but we paid £20 for two breakfasts and they were cold. Such a shame. Two years after our second visit, we’d just come home from the third. On our first two stays, we’d enjoyed a warm welcome, great breakfast and nice rooms. We stayed in number 5, and had planned to return again.

For one night, room 2 was just right. It’s a large family room on the ground floor, clean and comfortable, with nice extras like tea, coffee, biscuits and a small fridge. Breakfast was very nice and included a vegetarian choice.

The room was absolutely lovely and clean, and I had a great night’s sleep. Vic was kind enough to carry my case upstairs. I stayed warm and felt safe, and I’d definitely come back.
