Clifton Villa Hotel

Our room had everything we needed, with plenty of tea and coffee, lots of towels, and toiletries. Room 1 at the back was suitable for disabled guests, and it was very quiet, though with so few people staying, it might be noisier in high season. The only issue was the very slow shower pressure, but it didn’t bother us. Breakfast was lovely and filling. The staff were really welcoming, and we’d stay again and recommend it to friends.

The location was ideal, and we couldn’t fault our stay. The rooms were large and clean, and breakfast was beautiful. Our hosts were funny, friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. Their daughter, whose name I didn’t catch, gave excellent service at breakfast too. Thanks from Pauline and Dennis. We can’t wait to see you all again!

Collette and Jimmy made our business trip exceptional, and I’d gladly stay there again. I especially hope Jimmy is still making his amazing English breakfast. Loved it!

The landlady couldn’t have done more for us, and the location was so central, just around the corner from the Pier. We had free parking and left the car there for all five days. We were really pleased with our stay for our 63rd anniversary, apart from the stairs, though that was our fault because the ground-floor room was already booked. We’d certainly stay again when visiting Southport.
