Q8 Boutique Hotel

Q8 Hotel Portsmouth was in a great location, and the rooms were super clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was great. I really enjoyed my stay in this comfy, well-kept place.

The room was quite basic, and the bed in our double was very uncomfortable, so getting a good night’s sleep was difficult. The hotel was clean and had what we needed for a short stay, though, and the staff’s friendly, helpful service made us feel very welcome. Q8 Boutique Hotel is in a fantastic spot, just a short walk from lots of bars, pubs, shops and restaurants, and a £5 taxi ride to Gunwarf Quays. A decent stay, but there’s room for improvement.

I had a lovely stay. The place was very clean and the staff were lovely. I’ll definitely come back.

The morning receptionist was charming, and the hotel itself is clean, neat, tidy and modern. But the entrance is clearly dangerous: a handrail has been broken for a long time, and I nearly fell backwards. It’s an old maintenance problem and simply not good enough. Our room was cold. As we left for the evening, we were told the heating was on a timer. When we got back, the evening receptionist went into the back room and then said he’d switched on the heat. It didn’t come on. The way things stand, you risk being treated like an idiot as well as facing a dangerous entrance. I wouldn’t recommend staying here or return myself.
