Perran View Holiday Park

The club house is good and the staff are very friendly. My grandchildren loved the pool, though the floor tiles around the area are very slippery and need updating. The accommodation is dated and could use some decorating and hot water improvements. It is clean, with extremely comfortable beds, and works well if you just want a few days away.

This site works as a base for nearby towns, since there's plenty to do there, but you'll need a car. Not much is within walking distance. It's ideally placed for Perranporth, St Agnes and Newquay, though the entertainment and facilities are poor for a John Fowler site, with little reason to stay on site compared with the full schedules at most of their other parks. The two-bedroom houses are functional, but they've seen better days.

A bargain through Sun holiday/John Fowler, and a good place for a quiet break. I was pleased with our view over the central green, and the car park was nearby. The area is lovely to explore, and there's a good swimming pool with a sauna.

The bar hours seem odd, opening at 11am and closing at 10pm. Noon to 11pm might bring in more business. The park has seen better days, though the small, perfectly usable houses are being refurbished to a decent standard. The club has food at very reasonable prices, plus a small shop that's pricey but handy to have.
