Premier Inn St Albans City Centre

The location was spot on, right in the city centre near the shops, taxis and train station. My room was spotless and cosy, with a soft, comfortable bed, and the bathroom and bathtub were just as clean. I liked being able to choose whether the room was cleaned each day, so I could avoid being disturbed. There was also a coffee machine and pastries at reception, a nice touch. There was renovation work going on, which meant some morning noise and untidy shared areas, though it didn't greatly affect my stay. I left the room tidy and took off the sheets and towels myself, as a small courtesy to housekeeping. I’d highly recommend the hotel!

The breakfast was superb, and they kept everything topped up throughout both mornings of our two-night stay. The midday checkout was great too, no rush getting away, and the hotel is close to the town centre. We only ended up at Premier Inn because the place we’d booked in St Albans wasn’t suitable and this one had a room at short notice. The staff at reception and breakfast were all friendly, helpful and clearly worked hard. Our room was warm, quiet, clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Shame there’s no parking, though there’s a 24-hour multi-storey very close by. Well done, Premier Inn 👏

I accidentally booked an extra night at the standard non-refundable rate, but after I showed proof of my departure flight, they made an exception and refunded that final night. They handled it really well. The hotel is right in the city centre, with lots of places to eat and drink, and the shopping centre and station are walkable. I’d suggest using public parking since it’s much cheaper.

Such a comfortable, lovely place, and my room was beautiful and spotless. The customer service was my favourite part. Nalah was so friendly, hilarious, polite, and really caring in the way she looked after people. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at ☺️ I’ll definitely come back 😂
