34 Argyle Street Guest House

I’ve stayed at 34 Argyle for the fourth time now, and Barbara and Hugh are still such caring, lovely hosts. They seem to know what you need before you ask. The traditional English breakfast was superb, with fruit, yogurt, and tasty baked goods alongside it. Everything was spotless, and my spacious room had a great private bath and shower. The water pressure was excellent, with plenty of hot water. Another fabulous stay, highly recommended.

We came back for a second stay with Hugh and Barbara, this time for our 'baby moon'. It was such a relaxing, welcoming visit, and we felt very well looked after. Breakfast each morning was the highlight. We’d absolutely recommend staying here when you’re in St Andrews. Thanks again, Hugh and Barbara. Riley and Mary-Ann

After our nine-hour drive, the hosts greeted us with a gin and tonic and some snacks, which was just what we needed. They made us feel incredibly comfortable and seemed to anticipate every need. Our space was more than we expected: a hallway, a beautiful bathroom with a huge bath and separate shower, and a separate bedroom looking out over the gorgeous garden. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely come back.

Barbara’s eye for the little details really stood out. She was so welcoming, and breakfast was delicious, made to your request with local products. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable. I’d highly recommend it.
