The rooms are gorgeous and spotless, the location is brilliant, and the reception and door staff were phenomenal. If you’re staying at the hotel, I’d recommend it, but I’d avoid the Bridge restaurant and snooker table bar. Service was extremely slow and inexperienced for a hotel with such high ratings and prices. My friend’s chicken was raw at the Bridge, drinks took ages every time we ordered, and the mojito was the worst I’ve ever seen. A lovely place to stay as long as you skip the restaurant and bars.

The location is lovely, and the dinner staff were great. The chef went above and beyond to make us a lovely eggless vegetarian meal, and breakfast was tasty too, though service was slow even when it wasn’t busy. There aren’t many vegetarian choices, which was disappointing. The rooms feel a little dated and the lighting is very dim. We reported a problem with the TV to the front desk, but it was never fixed, which was really disappointing.

We had an amazing stay at Rusacks after our wedding. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and our room had an amazing balcony view over the old course. The food at 18 was unbeatable, as were the views. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

The views of 18 on the old course are great, and worth paying extra for. Our room was very nice, the service was great, and both breakfast and dinner at rooftop restaurant 18 were very good.

We unexpectedly got upgraded through our itison deal to a fabulous room with a big bay window overlooking the 1st tee/18th green. It’s my favourite Marine & Lawn hotel so far, and I can’t wait to return. The Old Course is right on the doorstep, and over our two nights we tried both restaurants and both bars. The food, drinks and service in each were faultless, and all the staff we met throughout the hotel were excellent.
