The back rooms have a few quiet tables, and the food there is top notch. We had a great meal with friends, with carefully chosen meat and vegetables cooked perfectly, without anything too fancy. From outside, it looks like a traditional, understated pub, with a good range of ales and spirits. We’d definitely eat there again and recommend it.

The lamb was tender, and the gravy and vegetables were especially good. We started with crab and lobster arancini, which came with a lovely sauce and a crisp of cheese. There’s a small dining area inside beside the bar and coffee machine. The lunch menu had plenty of options, and the service was good, with bread and water brought over to the table.

The staff were so kind and accommodating when we came for dinner at Hotel Russell. Several people in my party had allergies, and they still managed to offer them lots of choices and really good food. I’ve eaten here twice now and would definitely recommend it.

We stopped by for drinks, coffee and food while staying next door. Grant, David, Pierre and a young woman from the bar always greeted us with a smile and a chat. The bar was busy with guests and tourists, but the service was great. They even brought our drinks out to the table. Worth a visit, and we’ll see you all again next time ;)

Breakfast was fantastic and really set us up for the day. We had delicious food from a menu with plenty of choice, though it’s worth booking because the place was busy. The hotel looks straight onto the beach, and the main street is only a five minute walk away. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a very comfy bed. The bar is small but well stocked, and the staff were great. Even with a packed bar and a restaurant full of wedding guests, Grant and the bar team handled everything brilliantly and kept customers happy, as did the chef and kitchen staff. We’re definitely planning to stay again.
