Smuggler's Cottage

Fran made us feel so welcome at Stone’s Throw Cottage, and there were thoughtful touches everywhere. Breakfast in our room was delicious, with a breakfast wrap and other goodies. We were walking the Coastal Path and found it a lovely, restful place to stay. The bed was huge and comfortable, the shower had rainfall, and the toiletries were exquisite. We'd love to return when we have more time. Thank you, Fran.

We spent two nights at Stone’s Throw Cottage and loved our stay. Fran, the owner, was delightful and very helpful. Our Lighthouse Room was lovely and well appointed, and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast basket served in the room was delicious. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Fran clearly loves running her B&B and was a great host. The breakfast basket was beautifully presented and brought to your room at the time you choose. It had top quality ingredients. The place felt safe while still being welcoming, and it's a characterful B&B in a great location. We'd certainly return. One tip for Mevagissey: book dinner well ahead. Everywhere seemed booked up while we were there. Some places serve food without reservations, but you might have a long wait.

Just 20 seconds from the harbour, Stone's throw Cottage is right in central Mevagissey and makes a good base for exploring both the village and further afield. It felt homely, and our room was spotless, cosy and comfortable. Fran was so friendly and did everything she could to make us feel welcome and have a great stay. The full English breakfast was delicious and filling. I highly recommend it!
