The location is beautiful, and we got lucky with the weather. Reception was friendly and helpful when we arrived. This is a review of the touring pitch, so I can't rate the rooms or service, but the toilet and shower block really needs updating and more frequent cleaning. Two of the three toilet cubicles were filled to the brim with toilet roll and whatever else, and they stank. There were bits of wet toilet paper on the floor, too. I didn't use the shower because it turned my stomach. It's a shame, as the site is otherwise really nice and has good facilities.

The toilets were excellent and clean, and the woman checking us in was pleasant and helpful. We arrived by train to do the coast to coast, and the campsite was just a short walk away. Since we had a small tent, we used the separate area with water taps and neatly cut, smooth grass. It should have been ideal, but dog owners from the many fixed caravans seemed to use the tent field as an exercise area. It would be nice if people picked up after their dogs.

The location is fantastic, but the park feels a bit worn. The touring pitches are a decent size, though they feel like a gravel car park. The shower block is old and dirty.

It's a well-run site, with friendly staff and free showers and washing-up sinks for campers. There are laundry facilities, too. We like how quiet it gets out of season. The beach is just a three-minute walk away, and the sunsets from the cliffs are fantastic, with views of the Isle Of Man.

We often stay one night on a Sunday since it's only five minutes down the road, and we love it. The caravan pitch is right beside the beach, with easy access, and the renovated facilities are now a good standard for the price. We also had an excellent Sunday Lunch at the Seacote hotel. I gave the room a five because we were staying in our caravan.
